Dr. Burruel acquired her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Master of Counseling, and Doctorate of Behavioral Health from Arizona State University. She has over a decade of professional behavioral and mental health experience including executive leadership, clinical supervision, and direct care in both private practice and nonprofit community agency settings. Dr. Burruel is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC).
Dr. Burruel has been an approved clinical supervisor with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (AZBBHE) since 2013 and has provided clinical supervision and mentoring for several counselors who successfully obtained independent licensure. She has also supervised masters level counseling interns for Arizona State University and Grand Canyon University .
As a behavioral and mental health therapist, Dr. Burruel specializes in working with adults and adolescents ages 16 years and older, with a concentration on high achieving individuals. Dr. Burruel helps clients with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, perfectionism, work/life balance, interpersonal relationship challenges, personal development, and professional/career development. Her doctorate education and training included integrated care, which is the holistic treatment of both physical/medical and behavioral health, evidence-based interventions, management skills, and entrepreneurship approaches. Dr. Burruel's education, training, and experience as a provider, clinical supervisor, senior executive leader, and entrepreneur have equipped her with the skills and ability to empathize, support, and connect with high achievers in a unique way.
Dr. Burruel provides integrative counseling and therapy services, blending elements from different theories and interventions to customize services to help her clients achieve their personal, professional, and relationship goals. Evidence-based theories and interventions Dr. Burruel utilizes include Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Feedback Informed Therapy (FIT), and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).
Clint Cooper is currently offering in-office and online telehealth services and accepting new clients for self-pay, sliding scale, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and UnitedHealthcare/Optum.
Clint acquired a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at High Point University and a Master's degree in Family Therapy from Mercer University School of Medicine. He has five years of professional behavioral and mental health experience including direct care and management in outpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, and community settings. Clint is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Clinical Fellow with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).
Prior to entering the field, he worked at the university level in higher education providing oversight and guidance to students working toward their bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees. Clint has continued to serve on a research team that produces publications regarding the intersection of health and mental health throughout his professional career.
As a behavioral and mental health therapist, Clint has demonstrated strong competence in working with individuals, couples, families, and groups. He specializes in working with adults and adolescents 16 years and older on issues surrounding relationships and family conflict, anxiety, life transitions, grief and loss, trauma, identity, and sexuality. He uses an integrative, person-centered approach to fit the needs of his clients utilizing Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) to assist clients in achieving their goals.

Maritza earned a Bachelor’s of Music Education at North Texas University and Master’s of Social Work from New York University. She has eight years of professional experience in the behavioral and mental health field including outpatient and partial hospitalization settings. Maritza is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Prior to formal clinical work, Maritza engaged in community volunteer work in the areas of child advocacy, parental rights, and women’s health. Maritza continues to engage in training to inform and enhance her engagement with her clients and to broaden her knowledge base in the areas of trauma and perinatal mental health.
As a behavioral and mental health therapist, Maritza has worked with individuals, couples, families, and groups. She specializes in working with adults and adolescents 16 years and older on issues related to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, stress management, life transitions, trauma, parenting, and relationship and family conflict. She uses an eclectic approach tailored for each of her clients’ unique needs and goals, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and trauma focused therapy. Maritza’s hope is that each of her clients will be able to achieve their goals in a way that enhances and honors their authentic self.
